Tips on Showing Your Home
|
|
|
Look at your home as if you were going to be the buyer. What do you see that you find unappealing? Here are a few questions to ask yourself before you show your home.
Outside:
- Is the garbage/scraps or building materials picked up?
- Are garbage cans out of site?
- Are weed and lawns mowed, bushes trimmed around the house?
- Does the outside have a neat refreshing appearance?
- Do you have a swim pool or pond that has a clean appearance?
- Are cars parked neatly on the property?
House Exterior:
- Does the house need painting or siding?
- Is the roof free and clear of moss, pine needles and or obstructions?
- Are gutters clean?
- Is the front door in good condition?
Interior:
- Do the walls need paint?
- What is the condition of the carpet, lineoleum, tile or other flooring?
- Are the kitchen appliances dirty?
- Are the dirty dishes laying about?
- Do bathtubs and showers need scrubing?
- Is your laundry put away?
These few questions will help you with things to do for creating a good appearance to show your home. Keep a clean and neat appearance in and out the house at all times. You never know when an agent will want to show your home. Also turn lights on and open curtains when showing for a better appearance inside your home.
